Obama’s ISIS Strategy: Smoke and Mirrors

Ever since talk radio blew his “I’m so checking out” cover, Obama has been forced to drum up a strategy for dealing with ISIS. That strategy can be summed up in three words: smoke and mirrors.

Here’s how this will work:

Tsarnaev in Custody: Let the Games Begin

What begins now is the long, arduous task of bringing Dzhokar Tsarnaev, who is being charged with “conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction”, to justice. This should only take about 15 years.

There were reports that he will be tried as an enemy combatant, but, since American citizens cannot be tried as such, he’ll be tried in a civilian court. It is obvious Tsarnaev’s handlers knew how to get around a military court; simply become a citizen. Enemy combatants go to places like Gitmo, whereas American citizens get all the amenities our Constitution affords them. Nothing like terrorists knowing how to game our laws to their advantage.

Boston Hides, COEXIST Fails, Dad Blames, and Putin Advises: Boston Update

News out of Boston is coming fast and furious.

COEXIST Crowd Gets a Reality Check

If there is anything to snicker about concerning Boston, (and, really there isn’t) it would be that the on-the-lam terrorist, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, carjacked a car with a COEXIST bumper sticker on it.

I’d wax eloquent about the irony of having a murderous terrorist steal a car from the tolerance police, but I’ve already done as much here.

No doubt the owner of the COEXIST-mobile, if given the chance, could have talked Tsarnaey out of stealing the car, or at least into giving Tsarnaey a ride. But really, no one laughs at those insipid stickers more than (me) Islam.

Boston Bomber Picked Wrong City, but Right Pres.

Meanwhile, in Obama's head...

Meanwhile, in Obama’s head…

“Bomber Picked the Wrong City”: Obama. (CNN)

According to Obama, the Boston Marathon bomber picked the wrong city. Well, that may be, but he picked the right president. These days, any self-respecting terrorist knows that if you’re going to attack American soil, it’s best to make sure a liberal guy who is soft on terror is sitting in the Oval Office. And, thanks to Obama, we are ripe for the terrorizing.  In what shaped up to be the biggest smoke and mirrors photo-op of his career yet, the President told the crowd at Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston:

Obama and Clinton: If You’re Guilty and You Know It, Raise Your Hands…

…and if you’re Obama, ponder your travel plans to Vegas.

Revealed: America Was Warned-Did Nothing

It’s going to be nothing short of fascinating to see how these two plan on getting away with this one. But, sadly, I have little doubt that they will.

Here are my predictions for how Obama and his apparatchiks will get out of world-wide hot water.

Obama and the Ft. Hood Memorial: Yet Another Security Breach In the Making

As we wait with baited breath for Obama’s address at the Ft. Hood memorial, I’d like to exercise some presumptuous creative license and, borrowing from his historical (and vapidly narcissistic) Berlin Wall speech, predict what our illustrious leader will say. For the sake of brevity, all “uh’s” and “um’s” have been omitted.

Few would have foreseen that this military installation would be saved from absolute carnage by a female police officer in an America led by a man of African descent. But destiny is what human beings make of it. Let’s not jump to any premature conclusions. My condolences go out to the families. And now, I’d like to turn the podium over to Dr. Mansoor Farooqi.”

Seriously, what more should we expect from a commander in chief who, because of his disdain for freedom and all things military, has made it obvious he’d like nothing more than for our armed forces to disappear in a UN vapor trail…or, as his comments have intimated, in Muslim gunfire?

As if Obama’s very presence won’t be grating enough to the grieving men and women of Ft. Hood, the rest of the guest list brings tasteless, inappropriate, and unethical into the picture.

Mosque Leaders Part of Ft. Hood ‘Healing Process’ at Memorial Service

Leaders from the mosque where alleged shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan worshipped are on their way today to Fort Hood to attend the memorial service in a move some hope will help ease suspicion and anger between Muslims and the military base, still reeling from last week’s tragedy.

“Alleged” shooter? But I digress.

That this PR move by the White House and members of the mosque could be grotesquely reprehensible to the grieving families and soldiers goes without saying. But it also shows clearly that Obama’s loyaly lies with terrorists and not with the military for which he is responsible.

In the spirit of tact, and national security, Ft. Hood should remain on threatcon Delta, which is the threatcon level a base goes to once a terrorist attack has occured; that way no one resembling, smelling, or aiding and abetting terrorists would be allowed to enter the base. By the way, that would include, not only the members of the mosque, but our commander in chief as well.

CNN Outsources to Hamas

Hot Air:

A victim of the rampant media layoffs, CNN has been forced to outsource their Mid-East news bureau to Hamas.

According to an unnamed CNN spokesperson, “It was a financial decision, not a Semitic one. Hamas journalists are much cheaper to employ than American journalists. And, more importantly, Hamas has a proven track record for being fair and balanced, which is something CNN has, and will always be known for.”

And the American media’s disdain toward Israel begins.

Muslims Angered Over Koran Shooting

Bush sends apology over Koran shooting in Iraq

Let me see if I get this. An American soldier in Iraq blew holes in a copy of the Koran and was sent home to face disciplinary action. I’m on board with that. It’s not exactly the best example of American military might…or brains.

What I’m not on board with is the collective gasp, shock and awe, and overall rage from the Iraqi government and the Association of Muslim Scholars (AMS). Please, it’s just a book. It’s not like it’s a building with 2,700 people in it. Sheesh!

The Iraqi cabinet is calling for the “harshest punishment” for the soldier. I’m not sure, but I think beheading is the apropos punishment for the desecration of printed material. Burning American flags, however, earns you an extra virgin or two.

In Baghdad the Iraqi cabinet condemned the unidentified soldier’s action and asked Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to impress on coalition member states to ensure that their troops in Iraq respected the Islamic religion, its beliefs and values.

Ummm…wasn’t it the beliefs and values of the Islamic religion that landed our troops over there in the first place?

Our military is being called to respect a book that lauds the killing of infidels. Let me drive this home, the world, not just the US military, is being told to respect a book from the religion that is responsible for terrorism world wide. More on this cryptic little fact later.

By the way, I’m sure it’s safe to assume that the Iraqi cabinet will get nothing less than full cooperation from America’s patriotically-challenged liberals.

White House Press Secretary Dana Perino said a general also presented a new Koran to Sunni tribal chiefs “as a gesture of how seriously we took the issue and that we certainly respect their religion and we would never condone such behavior.”

Nothing says we’ve got spine like handing terrorists a brand new copy of their play book.

Again, I’m not saying that blowing holes in the Koran was a very mature thing to do. Cathartic, yes. Mature? Not so much. But neither is flying airplanes into buildings.

Surprisingly, a shiny new copy of the Koran just doesn’t say, “I’m sorry” quite like a global tribunal. The Sunni Iraqi Islamic Party talking head, Tareq al-Hashemi is demanding government action. Could we get a definition of government action? Something tells me they aren’t thinking house arrest and an ankle bracelet.

But lets cut to the irony, shall we? The Association of Muslim Scholars said,

...the “heinous crime shows the hatred” that the US military and American leaders had for the Koran and the Muslim people

This calls for a little, no, a LOT of perspective here. Allow me:

April 18, Beirut, Lebanon: U.S. embassy destroyed in suicide car-bomb attack; 63 dead, including 17 Americans. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility.

Oct. 23, Beirut, Lebanon: Shiite suicide bombers exploded truck near U.S. military barracks at Beirut airport, killing 241 marines. Minutes later a second bomb killed 58 French paratroopers in their barracks in West Beirut.

Dec. 12, Kuwait City, Kuwait: Shiite truck bombers attacked the U.S. embassy and other targets, killing 5 and injuring 80.

Sept. 20, east Beirut, Lebanon: truck bomb exploded outside the U.S. embassy annex, killing 24, including 2 U.S. military.

Dec. 3, Beirut, Lebanon: Kuwait Airways Flight 221, from Kuwait to Pakistan, hijacked and diverted to Tehran. 2 Americans killed.

Feb. 26, New York City: bomb exploded in basement garage of World Trade Center, killing 6 and injuring at least 1,040 others. In 1995, militant Islamist Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman and 9 others were convicted of conspiracy charges, and in 1998, Ramzi Yousef, believed to have been the mastermind, was convicted of the bombing. Al-Qaeda involvement is suspected.

Nov. 13, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: car bomb exploded at U.S. military headquarters, killing 5 U.S. military servicemen.

June 25, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia: truck bomb exploded outside Khobar Towers military complex, killing 19 American servicemen and injuring hundreds of others. 13 Saudis and a Lebanese, all alleged members of Islamic militant group Hezbollah, were indicted on charges relating to the attack in June 2001.

Aug. 7, Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania: truck bombs exploded almost simultaneously near 2 U.S. embassies, killing 224 (213 in Kenya and 11 in Tanzania) and injuring about 4,500. 4 men connected with al-Qaeda 2 of whom had received training at al-Qaeda camps inside Afghanistan, were convicted of the killings in May 2001 and later sentenced to life in prison. A federal grand jury had indicted 22 men in connection with the attacks, including Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden, who remained at large.

Oct. 12, Aden, Yemen: U.S. Navy destroyer USS Cole heavily damaged when a small boat loaded with explosives blew up alongside it. 17 sailors killed. Linked to Osama bin Laden, or members of al-Qaeda terrorist network.

Sept. 11,

New York City, Arlington, Va., and Shanksville, Pa.: hijackers crashed 2 commercial jets into twin towers of World Trade Center; 2 more hijacked jets were crashed into the Pentagon and a field in rural Pa. Total dead and missing numbered 2,9921: 2,749 in New York City, 184 at the Pentagon, 40 in Pa., and 19 hijackers. Islamic al-Qaeda terrorist group blamed.

June 14, Karachi, Pakistan: bomb exploded outside American consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, killing 12. Linked to al-Qaeda.

May 12, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: suicide bombers killed 34, including 8 Americans, at housing compounds for Westerners. Al-Qaeda suspected.

May 29–31, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: terrorists attack the offices of a Saudi oil company in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, take foreign oil workers hostage in a nearby residential compound, leaving 22 people dead including one American.

June 11–19, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: terrorists kidnap and execute Paul Johnson Jr., an American, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 2 other Americans and BBC cameraman killed by gun attacks.

Dec. 6, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: terrorists storm the U.S. consulate, killing 5 consulate employees. 4 terrorists were killed by Saudi security.

Nov. 9, Amman, Jordan: Suicide bombers hit 3 American hotels, Radisson, Grand Hyatt, and Days Inn, in Amman, Jordan, killing 57. Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility.

Dec. 11, Algeria: More than 60 people are killed, including 11 United Nations staff members, when Al Qaeda terrorists detonate two car bombs near Algeria’s Constitutional Council and the United Nations offices.

Yes, the list is long but distinguished.

Maybe I’m reaching here, but the aforementioned “infractions” clearly show the hatred that Islam has for the United States and the America people. Kind of makes using the Koran for skeet shooting practice seem a little, oh I don’t know…mild.

The fact that our military admitted that one of its own acted like a bonehead, sent him home, and is planning on disciplining him should suffice. That we went the extra mile and replaced the holy (pun intended) book should be more than enough to consider this issue closed. But my gut tells me that this won’t be over until the AMS gets what they want – which would be this guy losing his head during prime time on Al Jazeera.

What is going on here is much bigger than one guy offending a bunch of extremists. A precedence is being set. Once this American soldier is properly castigated, flogged, and humiliated in front of and by the whole world (and by whole world I mean liberals in the US and abroad), then it will be fully understood that Islam and it’s holy book are not to be trifled with.

Can you say Sharia Law?

Columbia Profs Head to Iran for Enlightenment and a Little CYA

Columbia Profs to Visit Iran to Apologize to Ahmadinejad, Reports Say — 01/09/2008

Go ahead, tell me that liberals aren’t pathetically scared of Islamic thugs. The not-so-reliable-Iranian-rumor-mill has claims that in an effort to make sure they aren’t the recipients of a little jihad action, a gaggle of Columbia University professors are going to scamper to Iran’s Ahadinejad, and apologize for the reception he received last year when he visited the university. Apparently the fact that he wasn’t beheaded when he entered the United States wasn’t nice enough.

Volumes could be written about the way liberals in America apologize, appease, and practically sleep with our enemies, but I won’t get into that….though I’m pretty sure they’re also planning to apologize on behalf of the state of New York for not having runway lights on the Twin Towers.

Butt sharking aside, what I find fascinating is that they are going to visit Iranian universities and seminaries.

The Mehr News Agency quoted an unnamed member of the prospective delegation as saying the apology was the main aim of the trip, which would also include visits to Iranian universities and seminaries.

I’d call them enlightened but “hapless lemmings” seems a better fit.

No doubt, this roadside scene would birth the following conversation between moronic prof and Iranian taxi driver:

“Oh my! Are those real men hanging from those cranes?” asks the American guest as she snaps a few pictures with her camera phone.

“They voted for Bush.”

((sigh)) “Wish we could do that.”

There’s going to be a lot of Iranian eye-rolling while the Columbia elite pander and fawn over their hosts. And America, once again, is represented by morons. This has got to stop.

But back to Columbia’s professors visiting Iran’s universities…

Here is a sampling of some of the classes the Columbia faculty will be able to sit in on. No doubt they won’t pick up on the anti-American sentiment.

For the Poli-Sci enthusiast there’s:

PLS 111: International Relations: A study in the infrastructure of major American cities. Prerequisite: EXP 101: Introduction to Explosives (3 credits plus 1 lab credit)

PLS 203: American Politics: Infiltrating America One Vote at a Time (3 credits plus an indefinite internship as a New York cab driver or gas station owner in Oklahoma. Course can be completed via correspondence.)

PLS 303: Survey of the American Democratic Party: Understanding Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, and the Clintons (3 credits. A grade of 65% or higher is required for UN fellowship.)

For the J-School crowd:

PROP 101:Video Broadcasting: How to produce poor quality videos with subtitles. (3 credits)
PROP 400: Advanced Broadcasting: Adding sound and live hostages to poor quality videos with subtitles.
(3 credits plus 1 vestal virgin credit)

The Department of Women’s Studies will offer…nothing.

And this from the Humanities Department:

HUM 235: Communication in the Workplace: How to keep your head in Iran. (3 credits. Credits will be revoked in the event of execution.)

HUM 440: Human Rights: An Iranian Policy: Thirty minute slide show. (No credit)

Look for similar classes to be added to Columbia University’s course offerings in the next few years.
