Summing Up Stalin’s…Uhhh…Obama’s Press Conference

In a nutshell, this is what our illustrious leader had to say tonight:

“Uhhhh…”, “Ummm…”, “…equalize…”, “…lower charitable contribution deduction…”, “…uhhh…”, “…won’t affect charitable contributions…”, “…I inheritied…”, “…ummm…”, “…country needs to move from borrow and spend to save and invest”, “…and that, uhhhh…”, “I like to know what I’m talking about before I speak.”

As for that last statement…since when?

$500 billion dollars a year are given by Americans to charitable contributions. With Obama’s lowering of the allowable deductions for said contributions, a larger chunk of America’s charitable giving will now go to the government. Translation: The Obama administration is taking money from charities. And that, my friend, is socialism in it’s purest, most undiluted form.

Socialist leaders contend that they are “equalizing” things in an effort to rescue the poor and down-trodden. Their method of choice is punishing the people they deem as rich and taxing them to death. In the eyes of the Entitlement Class, it is only fair to stick it to those stupid rich people who actually worked for their wealth.

But what these sniveling Obots will never understand is that they are, in the end, really victims of the slimy underbelly of a truly socialist plan. While Obama stumps for the homeless sleeping under bridges (who, oftentimes, get their food from homeless shelters who, in turn, get their money from charitable contributions), his plan deliberately takes money from them to fund his gargantuan liberal government spend-a-thon.

It’s been said before and I’ll gladly say it again: Whenever a liberal wants to help you…well…just grab your ankles.

Throughout history, without exception, socialism has never helped the poor. Likewise, throughout history, without exception, socialism has always expanded poverty. And, in the spirit of making a point ad nauseum, throughout history, without exception, socialism has always exploited the poor for the purpose of selling their agenda. I know I’m pretty quick, but even a spineless senate republican could see a pattern forming here.

Well, maybe not.

Obama to FDR: My Package is Bigger Than Yours

Conventional wisdom asserts that FDR got us out of the Great Depression. That is patently untrue. If anything, FDR’s New Deal prolonged the Great Depression.

History is repeating.

Once again, more from a history textbook that will never be employed by America’s public education system:

“It is important to realize when studying the Great Depression that free enterprise economics did not fail; what failed was the attempt of liberal politicians and businessmen to manipulate the economy and create “permanent” prosperity.

Think: “Obama will put gas in my car and pay my mortgage.” While liberals claim that they want everyone to prosper, they are lying. They want to steal from those of us who work so they can fund their liberal programs. And with their liberal programs they will succeed in keeping the lower income class…a lower income class.

“In 1932, Democratic candidate Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected President of the United States. FDR called for firm, aggressive action to cope with the economic woes of the day, and declared, “I pledge myself to a new deal for the American people.”

Think: Hope and Change. Obama ran on a platform of the Apocalypse. If we didn’t elect him, America would go to hell in a Bush basket. And while FDR did walk into an economic mess, what the average American doesn’t know is that, just like the politics of Obama’s party are largely responsible for the financial mess he “inherited”, the same was true of FDR’s party and the financial mess he “inherited”. Um, that party would be the democatic party, by the way.

“Once in office, FDR and his advisors adopted the untried and unproven econimic theories of John Maynard Keynes. Keynes was a British liberal economist who advocated central planning and massive economic and social intervention by government in order to bring a nation out of economic recession or depression.”

Think: Obama is not employing untried and unproven economic theories. Obama is employing economic theories that have been tried and have been proven to fail. Maybe FDR deserves some slack for ushering in socialist economics unwittingly (After all, he was a democrat, and we all know that democrats are attracted to socialism like flies to…well, you know). Obama isn’t ushering in socialism unwittingly. He, and Pelosi and Reid, know exactly what they are thrusting on to America.

“Following Keynesian policy, the FDR administration launched its “New Deal” by calling upon the federal government to create employment by spending huge sums of money for public works construction and public employment of workers. Keynesian economics and New Deal legislation were aimed at “priming the pump” and “spending the nation into prosperity”.

Think: FDR’s plan was bad enough, but Obama’s is even worse. Not only will he make Bush look like a fiscal conservative, his stimulus package creates virtually no jobs, just freedom-stealing bureaucracies that will never go away.

“New Deal policies substituted economic security for economic freedom. FDR and his advisors reinterpreted the Delcaration of Independence and the Constitution to mean that the federal government should not only promote the conditions for happiness and prosperity, but now should actually create happiness and prosperity by providing federally guaranteed jobs, housing, income, and old-age pensions”

Think: As with FDR’s New Deal, Obama’s Flush America Plan not only wipes out economic freedom, it also makes the notion of economic security uproariously absurd. No one will experience happiness and prosperity under Obama’s plan. The down-trodden will stay that way because the incentive to work has been taken away. And those of us who do work will have less of our money because we will be paying for the permanently down-trodden.

“Many believed that under the New Deal, the United States took a large step away from a constitutional republic based upon law toward a socialist democracy based upon total “equality” for the masses.”

Think: By “many believed”, this text is referring to thinking Americans. That excludes power-hungry democrats and their lazy constituents.

“In every nation that has incorporated socialism as a way of life, it has proved to be a self-defeating system that takes away individual productivity, responsibility, and ultimately individual freedom. Indeed, after six years of government job programs, regulation, and extensive spending, over 9 million workers remained unemployed with the U.S. government expanded its power over business, industry, and agriculture.”

Think: Can you say “Hope and Change”?

“The New Deal did little to help the economy and, in some cases, actually prolonged the Depression.”

Think: No, really America, think!

Socialism, Communism, Obamunism: A Textbook Primer

I’m not sure what public school kids are taught about Socialism or Communism, but I highly doubt it’s much given that Socialism’s biggest cheerleaders are in charge of our educational system.

This muse is a product of a day spent going over my son’s history lessons. He’s been studying WWII for the last several weeks. And, as I grade his work and peruse his book list, my conviction that the vast majority in this country are frighteningly ignorant in the area of history grows ever stronger. If you doubt me, then you should be offended. I think I just insulted you.

My point is this: If the average wide-eyed, empty-headed student sitting in a public school classroom had access to, and were taught from, textbooks that weren’t written along politically correct lines, but, rather textbooks that sought to uphold the American values of freedom and individual liberty, they might actually learn something; they might actually be able to discern a socialist when he runs for president.

My son is fortunate enough to have access to such books. No, we aren’t one of those uber brainy home school families, we just happen to dig history. My mantra to my kids has always been this warning: “The best way to oppress a people is to keep them ignorant.” I’d say the educational system in this country is doing a bang up job in that area. Again, if you don’t believe me then answer this: How did a socialist chuckle head like Obama waltz into power without so much as a raised eyebrow?

The answer to that is simple: Because the majority of those who voted for Obama don’t even know what socialism is, thus, when the man spoke, they got thrills up their legs rather than chills down their spines.

Here’s a challenge for you. If you have a high school aged student living in your home, go grab his history textbook and open it to the section that “teaches” about Karl Marx, Socialism, and Communism. This could be a whole chapter, but I rather doubt it. It might be easier to check the index in the back. Now, read said portion of the textbook and, when finished, ask yourself this question: What’s so bad about Communism/Socialism?

After you have formulated your answer, read the comprehension questions my son had to answer today. I’ve included some timely quotes to drive home the point that, thanks to the good old American Public Education System (and the choke hold the libs have on the media), we are quickly trading our freedoms for tyranny.
What atheistic idea is foundational to Communism?

The idea of no absolutes is foundational to Communism.

How did Karl Marx view history?

As a record of class struggle between the wealthy and the poor.

Obama: “For over two decades, he’s [Bush] subscribed to that old, discredited Republican philosophy- give more and more to those with the most and hope that prosperity trickles down to everyone else.”

Obama: “Nor is the question before us whether the market is a force for good or ill. Its power to generate wealth and expand freedom is unmatched, but this crisis has reminded us that without a watchful eye, the market can spin out of control – and that a nation cannot prosper long when it favors only the prosperous.”

What did he [Marx] believe was the source of all conflict?

Ownership of private property.

What did Marx claim was the greatest driving force in history?

Economics

What economic system did he oppose?

Capitalism

Obama: “Capitalism has failed.”

What economic system did he favor?

Socialism

Obama: This is the moment when we must build on the wealth that open markets have created, and share its benefits more equitably. Trade has been a cornerstone of our growth and global development. But we will not be able to sustain this growth if it favors the few, and not the many.

Compare socialism and communism. How are they alike? How are they different?

Both philosophies enslave people in a system that deprives them of their freedoms and property. Socialists use legislation, regulation, and taxation to obtain what they seek while Communists obtain what they seek through the use of violent revolution.

Obama: To the extent that we’ve got a fiscal crisis right now, part of it is prompted by a bullheaded insistence on the part of the president [Bush], for example, that we should extend all of his tax cuts and make all of them permanent.

What did Marx call the “opiate of the people”?

Marx called religion the “opiate of the masses” because he believed that religion was like a drug that made people content with less in this life because they expect happiness only in the next.

What philosophy is at the foundation of Communist theology?

Secular humanism

When was the Communist Manifesto published?

1848

Name eight measures Marx and Engels advocated in The Communist Manifesto.

1) The abolition of private property and inheritance rights;

2) The redistribution of wealth through heavy, progressive income taxes;

Obama: I think when you spread the wealth around it’s good for everybody.

Biden: Paying higher taxes is patriotic

3) A central bank to control all credit and to manipulate the nation’s currency;

Obama: Instead of having a set of policies that are equipping people for the globalization of the economy, we have policies that are accelerating the most destructive trends of the global economy.

4) Government control of all means of communication and transportation;

Obama’s Transportation Plan

The Fairness Doctrine

5) Government ownership of all means of production (factories, farms, mines, power plants, etc.) and all natural resources;

Obama: “We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories.”

Obama: So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.

6) The abolition of unemployment through social welfare programs;

Click Obama Button

7) The redistribution of the population (from cities to rural areas and vice versa); and

8) Mandatory state-sponsored and state-supported education.

Obama: We have an obligation and a responsibility to be investing in our students and our schools. We must make sure that people who have the grades, the desire and the will, but not the money, can still get the best education possible.

How is Communism a negative system?

Communism is a denial of everything that is true, righteous, and good. Some examples of the negatives of Communism are no God, no morality, no family ties…

Obama: I opposed the Defense of Marriage Act in 1996. It should be repealed and I will vote for its repeal on the Senate floor. I will also oppose any proposal to amend the U.S. Constitution to ban gays and lesbians from marrying.

…no individuality, and no incentives.

“Obama’s gonna put gas in my car…”

So, how did your textbook fare? Lest you think my textbook is biased, I suggest you do some fact checking. If you’re a liberal, you may as well skip this.

Oh, and for the record, my youngest son’s history book teaches the states and capitals.

Obama: Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go.

History Has Been Made…Indeed

I get that history has been made with Obama being the first black president and all, but let’s not short change the guy. He has also made history by being the first black socialist president.

For the first time in history, a man has managed to redefine hope by saying things like, “spread the wealth”. For the first time in history, a man has been lauded as the engine of change while unabashedly promising to bankrupt the coal industry and punish the rich for thinking that they are entitled to their own money. For the first time in history…

(music swells)

…one man has managed to look like the answer to America’s problem, even though he has been exposed as being dangero…

(needle scratching across record)

…wait. Electing a man who everyone knows is dangerous? Say it isn’t so.

(resume music)

For the first time in history, ideologies formerly reserved for communist despots have been blatantly doled-out and mindlessly swallowed by millions.

(muted drumming in the back ground)

Change has, indeed, come. Our Republic-turned-Democracy has eroded into mob rule, and collectivism was their vote.

Yes, we are on the threshold of a new era in America.

Let us hope and pray that America will, once again, make history by being the first country to survive socialism.
