I’m throwing a party and here’s why:
The pro-death left is reeling and Ruth Bader Ginsburg is gasping. Christmas came WAY early this year.
The libs, who have turned the courts into their own little law making co-op have been beaten at their own game. The Dem’s sacrosanct Supreme Court is coming out swinging against partial birth abortion.
Oh how sweet it is.
Kudos to Bush for getting this ball rolling by singing the ban on partial-birth abortion. And people say he hasn’t done anything. But on with the screeching:
“Every court considering this ban has found that it lacks the necessary protections for women’s health,” said Vicki Saporta, president of the National Abortion Federation.
Saporta has a strange view of women’s health. Just how is it healthy is it for a woman to have a baby kept half inside her body while the doctor vacuum sucks out it’s brains? I’m thinking it’s not too healthy. And I’m not even talking about the murder of the baby.
Allow me to point out the obvious. The term “partial-birth abortion” is merely the politically correct, albeit twisted, way of saying “murder”. In the minds of some very deranged liberals, a baby being halfway out of a mother’s womb isn’t really a human baby. Thus, since said baby is only a mere nine inches away from being fully outside the womb, murder isn’t murder, it’s abortion. Oh, and this is a cake walk for the mother.
And Ted Kennedy isn’t legally drunk if he only drinks half a bottle of Dewars. And, I can’t resist, Mary Jo K wasn’t really killed by Kennedy because she was all the way in the car.
But I digress. Let’s let Ruthie into the fervor:
“Today’s decision is alarming,” Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg wrote in dissent. She said the ruling “refuses to take … seriously” previous Supreme Court decisions on abortion.
One might be able to take her more seriously if she’d stay awake in court…but probably not.
The Savior of the Left, Obama, also suffers from shock and awe over the Supreme Court’s siding with life. But wait, didn’t he once vote against partial birth abortion? Well, yes but….
Obama said he voted against the late-term abortion ban as a state senator because it contained no exception to protect the life of the mother.
The exception to protect the mother would be to not perform the procedure in the first place. The whole ‘protect the mother’ argument is simply the libs lame attempt at compassion while they sanction murder. But let’s see how Obama really feels.
“I am extremely concerned that this ruling will embolden state legislatures to enact further measures to restrict a woman’s right to choose, and that the conservative Supreme Court justices will look for other opportunities to erode Roe v. Wade, which is established federal law and a matter of equal rights for women,” said 2008 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama. Fox News
Translation: Those blasted right-wing judges! How dare they remind the Republican party that their base is mainly conservative pro-lifers!
Here’s what I’d like to see: Hillary, Obama, and Ginsberg having a little Town Hall, so to speak, at an elementary school. In this Town Hall, these three bastions of equal rights and compassion can tell the wide-eyed little boys and girls all about partial-birth abortion.
I can only imagine how it would go…..
“…And then, because every woman has the right to chose, the doctor induces labor…
…what is that Sarah? Oh yes, labor can be very painful.
…ummm, well, I doubt that the ‘mommy’ has decorated her nursery.
Anyway, the doctor induces labor and the miracle of bir, I mean, the bab..fetus starts to come out. But the doctor stops the ba..fetus from coming out… Whew, It’s getting warm in here. Would one of you kids open a window? Thank you.
Now, where was I…Oh, thank you Wanda. So the doctor gently cradles the ba…I mean, the fetus’s head…
…Yes Billy? Well, the doctor sort of holds the baby in place. No, I don’t know exactly how he does that.
…No Lily, the doctor isn’t telling the mother to push like on “Baby Story”. Why not? Well, because the nice doctor doesn’t want the baby to come all the way out….
…(sigh) Well Sarah, I suppose that could be uncomfortable for the mother. But remember, her health is at risk, so the doctors are very careful.
…It’s not important, Henry, why the nice doctor doesn’t want the bab…fetus to come all the way out, he just doesn’t!
….No Lakeisha, the baby isn’t crying and kicking! Why not? Well because the baby – fetus WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT, it’s legs are still inside the mother and it won’t feel any pain because the nice doctor crushed it’s skull and sucked it’s brains out!”
There is a reason why the pro-death camp doesn’t want women, or future women for that matter, to know the truth about the actual partial birth abortion procedure – because the procedure is heinous and vile. Because it’s murder.
